The Toshiba EX4T2 print head is a true OEM near edge thermal transfer module designed specifically for the Toshiba B-EX4T2 industrial printer series. It provides a high plateau resolution of 305 dpi (12 dots/millimeter) across the entire 4.1 inch (104 millimeters) print width and supports up to 14 ips (356 millimeters/second) continuous throughput.
Main Features and Advantages
The EX4T2 is manufactured using the same tools and tolerances as when it left the factory, without the need for tool installation, mechanical adjustments, firmware updates, or calibration, thus minimizing maintenance and production downtime to the greatest extent possible.
The combination of precisely aligned heating elements and real-time temperature compensation eliminates banding and density variations, producing sharp barcodes, fine text, and detailed graphics even at maximum speeds.
The rough ceramic substrate is coated to resist wear, static accumulation, and chemical exposure. The ribbon of this machine head has a rated lifespan of up to 3 million linear inches, allowing for longer maintenance intervals and lower replacement costs.
EX4T2 natively supports up to 14 IPS, and compared to previous generations, it has increased tag throughput by over 40%, achieving faster batch production and higher overall device efficiency.
The print head has been optimized for low-power operation and designed to comply with ENERGY STAR® Standards. Toshiba EX4T2 printheads reduce heat generation and power consumption, extend the lifespan of print heads and printers, and lower operating costs.
