Product Description
SD260 uses a direct to card dye sublimation/resin thermal transfer printing system; The print head is a precision thermal element component that heats the dye panel (or resin) on the ribbon, transmitting full-color images and clear monochrome text to the CR-80 ID card. The goal of the SD260 platform is to produce high-quality IDs/badges at a native resolution of 300dpi (with higher internal modes to improve quality).
Main Features and Advantages
The dye sublimation/resin heat treatment driven by the SD260 print head provides smooth color gradients and clear barcodes/signatures suitable for ID, membership, and access badges. This supports security and professional visual effects.
300dpi printing provides dense, scannable barcodes and clear microtext, suitable for secure badge layouts.
The SD260 is designed for fast printing of many cards (typical printing speed: about 200 full-color cards per hour per single-sided; monochrome is higher), so the print head supports medium batch production with proper maintenance and does not require frequent replacement of the print head.
Using the original SD series print head ensures correct thermal distribution, ribbon indexing, and sensor alignment, avoiding many printing defects that may occur with unverified aftermarket parts. Provide/configure original parts for on-site replacement.
