Domino printhead maintenance focuses on two key aspects: cleaning and equipment maintenance:
Cleaning and Maintenance
Cleaning Steps
After turning off the power, wipe the printhead in one direction with Domino's proprietary cleaning solution or a 70% alcohol swab. Avoid touching the heating element and prevent static electricity damage.
After cleaning, wait for the alcohol to completely evaporate before restarting the machine to ensure internal components are dry.
Recommended Frequency
Routinely clean every 3-5 days. More frequently with frequent use or in a dirty environment.
The printhead must be cleaned every time the ribbon or thermal paper is replaced to prevent contaminant accumulation.
Equipment Maintenance
Operational Specifications
Avoid forced shutdown or dropping the machine. Handle it with care during installation.
During extended downtime, it is recommended to flush the lines with cleaning solution and keep the recycle pipe cap closed.
Environmental Requirements
Maintain a room temperature of at least 5°C to prevent ink solidification due to low temperatures.
For pigment-based ink models, it is recommended to maintain sleep mode and periodically agitate the main pump to prevent sedimentation.
Consumables Selection
Preferably use thermal transfer ribbon with a protective backing to reduce friction and damage to the print head.
