Thermal transfer printheads, made of precision ceramic, appear sturdy but are actually fragile. During daily use, if not properly cleaned, foreign matter such as dust and paper scraps can enter, leading to wear and tear over time, potentially damaging the heating area and causing printout incompleteness. This is known as a "broken pin."

A broken pin cannot be repaired. Depending on the situation, you can continue to use it if it's minor, or replace it immediately if it's more serious. To minimize unnecessary damage, we recommend cleaning the printhead and related accessories daily before use. This cleaning frequency can be increased depending on the site environment and duration of use.

Cleaning Methods:
Continuous: Clean the printhead and the rubber roller that contacts the presser.
Intermittent: Clean the printhead and the rubber pad and rubber wheel that contact the presser. Use a dust-free cloth sprayed with alcohol.

If you notice incomplete printouts during use, immediately disconnect the power and clean.

With years of experience in the signage and consumables industry, we have established long-term, stable partnerships with domestic and international manufacturers, providing stable, high-quality, and easy-to-use signage consumables and solutions! Consumables quality also affects printhead life.

Tips: When cleaning the print head or installing a new print head, be sure to turn off the power.
